Hello, Let's get to know each other – I'm Jurgita, the founder of Baju Lab. I want to briefly explain why I am here.
Sometimes I think that my path was clear already as a child. The sensitive, tragic story of my great-grandparents' family still lives in me and seems to have quietly led me forward.
My grandmother Victoria lost her parents at a very young age – they were burned during the war. At that time, she had just married and was starting a family in her husband's homeland. Times were such that people had to prepare products or tools necessary for the household themselves. My great-grandmother was able to make soap, and she told her daughter in dreams how to make it. This story made a huge impression on me as a child. Now I wonder more and more often – maybe we really come to this world to continue the work started by our ancestors, inherit their abilities and our purpose here is born from them?
I studied chemical engineering at Kaunas University of Technology, and in the second year of my studies I was strongly attracted to a new field of study - cosmetic engineering. Subjects such as bio-cosmetics, the chemistry of cosmetic formulations and the effects of natural ingredients appealed to me wholeheartedly. After graduating, I worked full-time in the chemical field: for almost two decades in the fur industry as a technologist, then in silk screen printing, and in recent years in the production of veterinary products and cosmetics.
Today, my experience, diligence and responsibility allow me to create what I believe in wholeheartedly - natural, conscious cosmetics based on knowledge, respect for nature and people.
Bajulab is the handiwork of our family, the knowledge, experience and love for what we do. Each member of our family has a role to play - from creation and production to management and implementation of ideas. This collaborative work allows us to create products that we believe in and that we can offer to our customers with confidence.
